Cass, Owner and Operator
Hello! I’m Cass, the owner and operator of Sunny Spot Cat Care, LLC. I’ve always been a “cat person,” to put it lightly. My parents brought two cats home when I was five years old, and cats have been a central source of happiness in my life since then. That happiness is what fueled my dream for this business; I couldn’t imagine a more joyful way to spend my days than caring for kitties.
Another great joy in life is travel, and I understand first-hand the value of being able to take a trip without worrying. Every cat parent deserves the peace of mind that their little ones are in good hands — even if it’s impossible not to miss them! Equally, your cats deserve all of their usual necessities and comforts while you’re away. It’s my mission to fulfill both you and your cats’ needs so that time away can be a positive experience for all.
In addition to running this business, I have worked in program and product management in higher education and private companies for over a decade. I pride myself on being organized, reliable, and professional with a strong business acumen. I always take my work seriously — even if it’s really fun! — and I make sure that shows to all of my clients.
Pricing & Services
While Sunny Spot Cat Care is geared primarily toward cats, our services and fees might also be applied to other small animals (birds, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, etc.) on a case-by-case basis. Please contact to inquire.
Pricing:
(1) daily 30-minute visit - $25
(2) daily 30-minute visits - $40
Medication administration - Additional $5 per cat per day; please note that I currently do not administer intravenous medications or injections
Holiday surcharge* - Additional $10 per day
Key pickup/return** - Additional $10 per instance
All visits include the following services:
Food and water refresh
Litter box scooping and top-up
Dedicated time for play, grooming, and/or treats
Clean-up of food and litter area(s) and any accidents
Mail and package retrieval from outdoors
Any desired adjustments to lights, heating/cooling, and windows
Basic plant watering (extra fee may apply for large/special collections or gardens)
Text message or email with photo(s) after each visit
*Holidays include: MLK Jr. Day, President’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day.
**To avoid these fees, please provide a key at the consultation or leave one in an accessible lockbox. Upon my last visit, I can leave the key inside your residence/lockbox or retain it for future visits.
Policies & Procedures
To inquire about service, please submit the “Contact” form at the bottom of this website or email cass@sunnyspotcatcare.com. I will respond within 24 hours.
Service will begin with a complimentary meet-and-greet scheduled before your trip. During this time, I will meet your pet(s), ask you about their needs and preferences, and learn the locations of their supplies.
To ensure the best possible care for your pet(s), I require a minimum of once-daily visits while you are away.
Payment can be made by cash or Venmo and is due by the first scheduled service day.
